Game Mechanics
Uwerta of Legends is a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) built on open-source Tibia server and client software. This guide explains how a match really works: controls, combat, the Store, minions, towers and money.
Controls & Movement
The game uses a point-and-click interface similar to classic Tibia. These are the controls you use in every match.
Mouse
Left-click the ground to walk there. Left- or right-click an enemy to attack it; right-click an item to use it. Shift+click looks at something, Ctrl+click opens the full menu.
Keyboard
Abilities are on keys 1–4. Keys 5–7 hold the Heal, Teleport and Teleport To Town runes, the same for every champion. Arrow keys walk; the WSAD button switches walking to W/A/S/D (Q, E, Z and C walk diagonally).
Targeting
Click an enemy to target it — your champion then attacks it on its own. Most abilities are aimed separately, at a spot on the ground; the rest are cast at once.
Inventory
Your gear sits in the equipment slots. Items bought in the Store equip themselves and can't be moved; potions go into the bag in your ammo slot — use them from there.
Combat Mechanics
Understanding combat is crucial for success. Here are the key elements you need to master:
Auto-Attack
Your champion shoots its target with its wand while the target is within 3 tiles — once every 1.2–2.2 s, depending on the champion. Each shot costs 2–3 mana, and its damage comes from the wand: magic level doesn't change it.
Abilities & Spells
Each champion has unique spells and abilities. They consume mana and have cooldowns. Use them strategically!
Health & Mana
Watch your HP and mana bars — potions from the Store restore them. Running out of health means death!
Staying Alive
No item gives armor or defense. To survive, drink Health Potions, use the Heal rune (key 5: 40 HP every 3 s for a minute) and walk on the healing floor of your base.
Strategy & Tactics
Winning battles requires more than just mechanical skill. Here are essential strategies to improve your gameplay:
Positioning
Always be aware of your position. Mind the range of enemy towers (7 tiles against champions), keep your distance and avoid being surrounded.
Timing
Time your abilities correctly. Save your powerful spells for crucial moments. Don't waste all your mana early in the fight.
Target Priority
Focus on the right targets. Finish off enemies with low health, and in 2v2 attack the same champion as your teammate.
Economy
Spend your money wisely: buy what makes you stronger now. Money doesn't carry over to the next match — everyone starts at 0 — so don't hoard it.
Map Awareness
Always know where enemies are. The minimap shows only terrain you have already seen and your own position — not enemies — so keep your eyes on the screen. Avoid dangerous areas when low on health.
Cooldown Management
Track your ability cooldowns. Don't engage when your key spells are on cooldown. Wait for the right moment to strike.
Building Your Champion
Everything is bought in the Store during the match. Almost every item raises your magic level, which powers your abilities — no item gives armor, critical hits or attack speed.
Good to Know
- Replacing: A new item replaces the one in its slot. A more expensive one costs the price difference plus 25; a cheaper one is settled like selling the old item (80%) and buying the new one
- Selling: Returns 80% of the price; potions can't be sold
- Level: Higher tiers need a higher champion level
- Critical hits: Only from a Luck elixir on your active avatar: 1% chance per 5 Luck (up to 20%), and a critical hit deals +50% damage
Gear
Helmet, armor, legs and shield — four tiers each, priced 160–1700:
Wands
You start with the Basic Uwerta Wand (20–35 damage). Upgrades hit harder and add magic level, but need a higher champion level:
Boots & Potions
One pair of boots at a time, plus potions for the road:
MOBA Mechanics
Uwerta of Legends is a MOBA game with unique mechanics. Understanding these elements is crucial for victory.
Minions (Uwertanians)
- Waves: First wave 15 s after the match starts, then every 90 s — 7 minions per side, at most 21 alive per side
- Movement: March toward the enemy base
- Behavior: Attack enemy minions, champions, towers and the base on their own — a random enemy in range, not necessarily the nearest
- Money: Land the last hit on a minion to earn 25 Money
- Strategy: Last-hit minions to get ahead in money
Towers
- Defense: Two per team protect the path to the base
- Damage: One enemy every 2 s, 50 damage per shot; they reach 7 tiles against champions, 8 against minions and bots
- Target: A random enemy in range — minion or champion alike
- Destruction: A destroyed tower stays down for the rest of the match; the last hit earns 450 Money
Base
- Objective: Destroy the enemy base to win the match
- Healing: Walking on the floor of your spawn area restores 120 HP and 80 mana per step (at most once every 2 s)
- Protection: Your base can't be damaged until the tower next to it falls
- Store: In 1v1 and 2v2 (with or without bots) the Champion Store is an NPC in your base — click it or say hi, then trade. It serves only its own team. In FFA and the Workshop, open it with the green Store button
Respawn System
- Player Death: You reappear in your base at once with full health and mana, but can't leave it for a while: 11 s at level 1, 25 s at level 5, 35 s at level 10, up to 60 s
- Bot Death: A bot comes back about 30 seconds after dying
- Death Penalty: In 1v1 and 2v2 your killer earns no Money — dying costs you time locked in your base. In FFA the killer earns 100 Money
Champion Abilities (1–4)
Every champion has 4 unique abilities. Master them to unlock your champion's full potential.
First Ability
Usually the quickest to recharge — use it often
Second Ability
Every champion's kit is different — see the details on the champion's page
Third Ability
Aim carefully: a missed ability still costs its mana and cooldown
Fourth Ability
Usually the longest cooldown — save it for the right moment
Ability Tiers (1–8)
- Champion Level: Your champion's level rises during the match and sets the tier of all abilities and runes (level 8 and above = tier 8) — there is nothing to upgrade by hand
- Cooldowns: A higher tier usually means shorter cooldowns
- Damage & Healing: Grow with your magic level — raise it with Store gear
- Mana Cost: A higher tier usually costs more mana
- Runes (5–7): Heal, Teleport and Teleport To Town are the same for every champion; their cooldowns also shorten with your level
Money
Money buys Store items during a match. Everyone starts at 0, and only the champion who lands the killing blow gets paid:
Minion Last Hit
25 per minion
Bot Kill
550 per enemy bot (25 in FFA)
Champion Kill
Nothing in 1v1 and 2v2; 100 in FFA
Tower Destroy
450 for the last hit — not shared with the team
